Then reboot your system and install the new driver.Īt the time of writing, the latest Wacom tablet driver version is 6.3.46-1. You can usually find the model number on the back of your device if you are unsure.īEFORE you install the driver, if you’ve used any other tablets on your computer, it’s best to uninstall the drivers for those first. So when you visit the Wacom website and drivers page, be sure to type in the model of your tablet. You’ll see this if you are using a tablet like the Intuos 3 for example. This may seem obvious, but if you’ve picked up an older tablet, it’s easy to accidentally go and download the latest Wacom driver only to find that your device isn’t actually supported anymore. Getting the correct driver for your wacom tabletįirst things first, you need to make sure you download the right driver for model of Intuos. If you purchased an older Wacom Intuos secondhand and didn’t get a user manual with it, this quick guide will help you to set up your tablet. It’s often the first choice of professionals even though they do have some good competition today. That is what the information I have gathered throughout my time over the last few months using both the tablet and Krita. The Wacom Intuos has been around a while and the brand has earned a reputation in the digital art and design industries for good reason. The shortcut keys on the tablet and the pen all perform as they are suppossed to. ![]() When I use the driver Gaomon_Windows_Driver_v14.8.133.1259, the offset problem is not as bad and when it does happen, the built-in calibration system within the driver removes it although towards the edge of the tablet screen the cursor and pen dosen’t always respond or update correctly. I have calibrated the tablet multiple times, searched around the internet, the manual of the tablet and have used the offset settings within Krita itself however the offset is still pretty bad at approximentally 1/2" to the left. The drivers for the Gaomon Tablet I own is a different mess the driver Gaomon_Windows_Driver_16.0.0.37 does allow Krita to operate on the tablet however there is a offset to the left between the mouse cursor and where the actual pen is. All of the buttons and keydial work as intended and have not found any issues reguarding the interactions between the keydial, its driver, the tablet and Krita. The “settings preview” button pops up the layout of the buttons on the screen of my laptop, not the screen of the drawing tablet. ![]() Reguarding the overall functions with the Drivers, Tablet and Krita itself, Huion’s keydial and the driver for non-Huion devices works as per Huion’s intentions. ![]()
